The current crime situation in South Africa was a major driving force that inspired the development of the product and tracing solution Being an ex policeman Philip Opperman identified the micro tag technology as a major criminal investigative tools as well as a proactive means of preventing theft, which leads to more serious crime. Recoveri has patented their unique application device for motor vehicles. The Recoveri production and assembly plant situated in Edenvale is TUV ISO 9001:2008 accredited. This provides customers with the necessary peace of mind that Recoveri products are developed and produced to the highest international standards. Recoveri was invited to sit on the committee and provide input. Valuable assets can now be tagged with permanent and nearly invisible microdots that can be read physically with a Recoveri Microscope and identified with ultra violet light for ease of detection. Assets are registered in a secure online database where ownership of goods can be traced locally and internationally. Recoveri products are water based and non-toxic making it safe for the environment and possess unlimited shelf life properties prior to application. Upon application the Recoveri microdots and adhesive become a permanent fixture on the assets which can’t be removed without damaging the asset itself. The Vehicle Dots system integrates into the eNaTIS system in SA.
