This being our first safari, there were many questions upfront and Tina was extremely patient in answering all of them. The pick-up and drop-off in Johannesburg were prompt, courteous, and safe. We enjoyed hearing countless entertaining stories and jokes, as well as the reflections about the history of, and general life in, South Africa. At the end, Neil even told us each which Kruger animal our behaviors most closely resembled based on his interactions with us during the experience. From our first trip out in the truck until the last delicious meal that Alistair prepared for us, every day was an inspiring experience within Kruger. Neil's experience with and passion for the plants, animals and terrain we covered was at all times insightful and infectious. Tina helped us not only with the Kruger safari, but also recommended someone for a private tour in Cape Town which was also great. The night tour, and a walking tour were also highlights. Also, my adult son has a very limited diet, and every night Alistair made sure to have food available for him. My high regard for Bearded Heron Safaris began long before our trip. Together the team did everything they could to make our dreams come true. Alistair filled our stomachs with the most amazing bush meals and Neil filled our brains and senses with his knowledge, love and passion for the Kruger. It's one thing to have a game drive where the driver and tracker tell you about what you are seeing. You are such an encyclopedia of knowledge about the animals and birds in Kruger, and probably in all of South Africa!
