AConsult employs engineers and draughtsmen who can design your heating, cost control and supervision of selected contractors to final completion, tenders, specifications, drawings, ventilation and air-conditioning or HVAC systems and provide the full consulting engineering service.  This entails design, commissioning and handover of your project. AConsult is a Consulting Engineering Practice formed by Trevor Johnstone in 2004. AConsult specialises in the design of commercial, industrial and residential air conditioning systems.

Mission Statement We strive to produce professional, well-engineered, innovative and cost-effective designs catering for our clients' needs in the field of Mechanical Building Services, with particular emphasis on HVAC Systems. We, at all times conduct ourselves in accordance with the morals, ethics and Code of Conduct of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the South African Association of Consulting Engineers (SAACE), as our minimum standard. In all aspects of our business dealings we apply Christian business practices, ethics and honesty. He graduated with his BSC Degree from the University of Witwatersrand. He has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the University of Pretoria and is registered with ECSA as an Engineer in Training. Greg is responsible for design, technical quality as well as the management and supervision of projects. He is also fully proficient in the use of AutoCAD and so provides backup to drawing office when necessary. Cooper is also responsible for the design, technical quality and management/supervision of projects. Clifford Altendorfer is our Maintenance and Quality Manager. He represents AConsult as the Maintenance Supervising Consultant, overseeing HVAC contractors who are contracted to carry out regular planned Maintenance on HVAC Systems. Other Resources: Our design, draughting and site supervision capacity is also bolstered by numerous specialist individual contractors who we use regularly to provide us with the level of service required on our projects. These contractors are employed on a temporary basis, for specific projects. AConsult employs Engineers and Draughtsman who can design your heating, ventilation and airconditioning (HVAC) systems and provide the full consulting Engineering service. This entails design, drawings, specifications, tenders, cost control and supervision of selected contractors to final completion, commissioning and handover to your project. An upgrade and expansion of a Vodacom MSC in Durban which is required careful project planning due to very limited space on site. Two new energy centres were constructed as well as an additional 60 square meters of MSC floor space. To increase the capacity of Vodacom's MSC in Germiston four close down blow units were installed replacing two aging units. As well as an upgrade of the cooling systems in the UPS rooms were carried out. Struggling with heavy pollution in the winter months the fresh air pressurasiation systems were unable to filter out all the pollutants, often triggering the DC's fire protection system. A by-pass was introduced to discharge the air back to outside of the outside if the outside air was polluted and restoring flow once the air is clear. Since the implementation of this system there has been no false alarms of the fire protection system. With the success of this installation, it has been implemented on all our other Vodacom Projects.
